Partnership in Action:
Reconcile and STRIVE
Strong workforce outcomes are built through strong partnerships. At Reconcile, collaboration allows us to bring together expertise, resources, and opportunities that help young people build successful futures.
Since 2022, Reconcile has partnered with STRIVE through the Future Leaders Program, a workforce development initiative designed for young adults ages 18 to 24 who have been impacted by the criminal legal system. While not all Reconcile participants share this experience, some young people face additional barriers related to justice system involvement. For those young people, having the right partners and resources can make a meaningful difference in creating pathways to opportunity.
The Future Leaders Program combines workforce training, career exploration, educational enrichment, work experience, leadership development, and personalized support. Participants also have access to case management, mentoring, financial capability education, and continued career support as they pursue their goals. Together, these services help young people build skills, confidence, and connections that support long-term success.
What makes this partnership especially valuable is the combination of programmatic expertise and funding support. STRIVE helps ensure resources are available to strengthen workforce training while supporting continuous learning and quality improvement. This shared commitment helps Reconcile deliver services that respond to the needs of young people and connect them to meaningful opportunities.
Earlier this month, members of the STRIVE team visited New Orleans to experience the partnership firsthand. During their visit, they met Interns, staff, Employment Partners, and community partners, celebrated alongside graduates, and saw how a network of support helps young people move forward with confidence and purpose.
Partnerships like STRIVE demonstrate that workforce development is about more than employment alone. Young people thrive when they have access to relationships, resources, and opportunities that help them navigate challenges and pursue their goals. By working together, organizations can create stronger pathways to education, employment, and long-term economic mobility.
We are grateful to STRIVE for their partnership and shared investment in young people. Together, we are helping build brighter futures, stronger communities, and a workforce that reflects the talent and potential of all young people.
