The Café

Run as a non-profit workforce training program, the café prepares ambitious young adults for careers in the city’s celebrated hospitality industry. From red beans and rice, to catfish and po’ boys, we draw inspiration from the proud, vibrant Black history and cuisine of our city.

Always cooking from scratch—including our roux—you can rest assured that even our more indulgent dishes taste fresh and flavor-forward. And with more than two decades of service under our belt, you may find we’ve reimagined a few of your favorite dishes, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and skillful technique.

The Program

Reconcile New Orleans workforce development program supports the training and development of young people 16-24 as the next generation of professionals in our community.

For more than 20 years, our non-profit has nurtured the professional and personal growth of young people as they explore career or educational opportunities and develop job readiness skills to stand out in the marketplace. Interns earn industry credentials, explore career and educational pathways that suit their individual abilities, and experience real-world, on the job training in our training restaurant, Cafe Reconcile. When you enjoy a meal in the Cafe, you become an active participant in their training experience, with 100% of all restaurant profits directly funding interns’ paid stipends, learning opportunities and other program resources.
