First Graduation of 2026: Celebrating New Beginnings
Reconcile recently celebrated the first Graduation of 2026, marking an important milestone for young people completing their workforce training journey and preparing to take their next steps into employment or education. One of four graduations scheduled this year, the ceremony brought together families, Employment Partners, and community supporters to recognize the dedication and growth of our newest group of graduates.
Graduation represents more than the completion of training. It marks a transition. Over the past several months, Interns have strengthened job readiness skills, practiced communication and teamwork, and gained hands-on experience through training in Café Reconcile and with Employment Partners across the city. As they move forward, they carry new confidence and a clearer direction for the pathways ahead.
Several graduates are already stepping into exciting next chapters:
LaRon is continuing his education at Alcorn State University, where he is studying and performing with the university’s band. We will miss hearing his morning practice sessions in the parking lot before training began.
Ayantal completed her Externship with Reconcile Employment Partner Hotel de la Poste, where she strengthened her hospitality skills while working as a server.
Randy and Raynell are in their final days serving guests in the Café before beginning their Externship transitions into workforce pathways.
During the ceremony, community leader Robert Jones spoke directly to the graduates, offering reflections on hope, opportunity, and the effort it takes to step confidently into a new chapter.
Each graduation reminds us that workforce development is about more than skills. It is about creating the conditions where young people can discover their strengths, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.
We are proud of this graduating class and excited to see what comes next as they step into their education and career pathways.
