With Gratitude
Honoring Board Members Who Helped Shape Growth
Strong nonprofit work depends on strong governance. A committed board of directors provides accountability, strategic guidance, and stewardship to allow mission-driven growth that reflects integrity and purpose. At Reconcile, board leadership helps to ensure that young people remain at the center of all decisions while staying responsive and future focused as an organization.
With sincere appreciation, we thank four board members who have recently completed their service: Rev. Sarah Chancellor-Watson, John M. Eastman, Lee Reid, and Dr. Avis Williams. Each brought care, insight, and thoughtful leadership during an important season of growth, helping guide Reconcile with a deep belief in the potential of New Orleans’ young people.
During their board tenure, Reconcile experienced meaningful momentum. The organization expanded training and alumni support, strengthened partnerships across the city and state, elevated youth voice through advocacy and media, monitored two 3-year strategic plans, oversaw the hiring of Reconcile’s current CEO, Kheri Billy, and celebrated the organization’s 25th anniversary. These accomplishments reflect the steady governance and shared commitment that helped position Reconcile to serve young people with clarity, care, and long-term vision.
We are grateful for the time, wisdom, and leadership these board members shared. Their service helped build a strong foundation that will continue to support young people as they grow, discover their strengths, and take their next steps toward stable futures.
