RECONCILE CELEBRATING WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY!

This past Tuesday, October 10th, Reconcile celebrated World Mental Health Day. In honor of this recognition, we celebrate our partnership with the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans whose mission is dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and families through mental health and wellness programming. Reconcile, and Children’s Bureau collaboration ensures mental health services are accessible to Interns while also bringing greater awareness of its importance to our community.

At Reconcile, our Workforce Development Program delivers much more than basic professional skills.  We focus on the whole person, supporting each young person’s individual growth journey.  We do this through an integrated approach that incorporates both personal AND professional goals. Mental health and wellness are key to succeeding in work and life.

Reconcile’s partnership with Children’s Bureau expanded this year adding an in-house Community Mental Health Worker to support Interns daily training experience. Meet Jordan Wooden! (Pictured above).  As a Community Mental Health Worker, Jordan ensures Interns receive guidance, support, and resources to help them navigate and cope with personal challenges. By addressing mental health concerns, Jordan’s dedication helps create a safe and supportive environment that supports the personal growth of Interns, helping them to thrive as people and young professionals.

Together, Reconcile and the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans are making sure the mental well-being of the community is accessible for all young people. To read more about this partnership and its importance, click here to read an article from “The Center for Law and Social Policy.”
